Hotel Monasterio is 22km south-east of Jimena de la Frontera, in the Campo de Gibraltar. adjacent to San Martin de Tesorillo, a pretty, white village famous for its orange groves and its emblematic half-moon-shaped, steel girder bridge which spans the river Guadario as it flows down to the Mediterranean.
Having always been an agricultural town, even today San Martin has a large and thriving agricultural industry, although nowadays many hectares of farming land having been converted into polo fields as the area has become one of the premier locations for elite class international polo tournaments.
The idyllic rural setting is still conveniently close to the vibrant Port of Sotogrande which is surrounded by popular beaches and other recreational facilities such as tennis and paddle tennis clubs which are open to the public.
Just 34Km and 112km from the airports of Gibraltar and Malaga respectively, it’s an ideal location.

Directions
From Malaga Airport head straight over the roundabout, keeping right, towards Cadiz/Algeciras and the AP7, stay on the AP7 for approximately 45 minutes, passing through 3 toll booths. Take exit number 133 after the 3rd toll booth and cross the roundabout heading towards San Martin on the A2102. Continue through the village of San Enrique and into San Martin. Follow A2102 round to the left towards Jimena for a further 4 km. You should pass a white restaurant on your left then 200m on your right there is a white wall and sign for the hotel Monasterio. From Gibraltar Airport head North on Winston Churchill Avenue following the one-way system and turning left onto the N-351/CA-34. Stay on this road for approximately 7Km then keep right and merge onto the E-15/AP7 towards Estapona/Malaga. Stay on the AP7 for approximately 14Km then take exit 133. Go left on the roundabout taking the A2102 towards San Martin. Continue through the village of San Enrique and into San Martin. Follow A2102 round to the left towards Jimena for a further 4 km.
